Final Results

Press Release

Shawn Lu defended his title firing a two over par score of 73. Shawn’s, 54-hole total of 203 (ten under par) was good for a seven stroke victory over Matthew Ma, the 2011 & 2012 champion. Under gusty conditions Shawn managed three birdies in the final round. All told Shawn had 21 birdies over the course of the 54-hole event. Only two players broke par in the final round, Matthew Ma and Noah Koshi both carded one under par scores of 70. Noah tied for third along with Zachery Kaneshiro with 54-hole scores of 212.

Chad Umetsu captured the Mid Am Flight which was decided over the first two rounds of the championship. Chad fired a one under par 70 and a 143 to edge out Robert Kim by one stroke.

Mike Kawate took the Senior Flight firing an even par score of 71 and a 146 total. Mike edged out first round leader Jeff Weinstein by one stroke.

The field was cut to the low thirty (30) scores and ties after yesterday’s second round. All players with a two day total of 153 advanced to today’s final round.

A field of 80 players is competing for the individual championship(s) over the course of 54-holes and 36-holes. The event features an “Open Flight, “Mid Am Flight” and a “Senior Flight”. The Open Flight is being contested over 54-holes while the Mid Am Flight and Senior Flight are being contested over the 36-holes. 

Golf carts will be located in front of the golf shop each day of the event for the convenience of the media. 2nd Round Results

Shawn Lu the defending champions fired an eight under par score of 63 to take a commanding nine shot lead heading into tomorrow’s final round. For the second day in a row Shawn had nine birdies and just one bogey, good for a two day total of 130 (67-63). The tournament record is 198, established by Parker McLaughlin in 2001. Shawn has qualified for the U.S. Amateur in August at Pebble Beach.

Jun Ho Won, the 2016 Champions is in second place with rounds of 71-68—139. In a tie for third place is Matthew Ma, the 2011 & 2012 Champion. Matt is tied with Zachery Kaneshiro, both have a two under par, 36-hole total of 140. The leaders will tee off at 12:30PM tomorrow.

1st Round Results

Press Release

Shawn Lu the defending champions fired a four under par score of 67 to grab a share of the first round lead with Justin Ngan. Justin was the runner-up in last month’s 110th Manoa Cup.

Shawn’s round featured an amazing nine (9) birdies and five bogeys. Justin’s round featured six birdies and two bogeys. Kolbe Irei and Zachery Kaneshiro are one shot back with rounds of 68. Matthew Ma the 2011 and 2012 champions is in fifth place with a two under par score of 69. In calm conditions, nine players shot par or better.

Robert Kim has a one shot lead in the Mid Am Flight with a one over par score of 72. Chad Umetsu is one back with a two over par score of 73.

Jeff Weinstein fired an even par round of 71 to take a three shot lead in the Senior Flight. Defending Champion, Carl Ho fired a three over par score of 74.

Friday, July 20th - Second Round of Play. Tee Times, 6:45A.M. to 8:37A.M. #1 & #10.
(Field is cut To the Low 30 Scores, Plus Ties after 36 Holes)
Saturday, July 21st - Final Round. Tee Times, 11:00A.M., #10 tee.
