Celeste Mendiola-Flores, OCC Pastry Chef since October 2009. She represented the Oahu Country Club as one of the judges at the 2011-2012 Dessert Fantasy Competition. Being at OCC has given her the opportunity to use her knowledge and skills within a dynamic, growth-oriented organization that offers challenging opportunities while nurturing and sustaining teamwork collaboration. Her work experience includes operating her family owned businesses. While on Oahu, she has been employed as a supervisor with several restaurants, supermarkets, and bakeries. She was born on the island of Rota, Northern Mariana Islands, and educated in Guam. She moved to Honolulu to broaden her education in both business and Culinary at Leeward Community College, Honolulu Community College and Gros Bonnet Culinary Academy. She has traveled extensively within the Pacific Islands, Australia, Asia and the United States. Aside from work, she volunteers her services at the church. She attends and participates in culinary seminars to keep up with current trends and expand her knowledge and skills to continue to be innovative. One day she hopes someone from the club will teach her the game of golf!
